About this journey
What the drive is actually like
Standing at the foot of Jabal al-Nur and looking up at the cave of Hira changes how you read the Sirah. This is a four-hour private tour of the places around Makkah where the story actually happened, at your pace, with a driver who knows what each site is and can tell you.
The usual circuit takes in Jabal al-Nur and the cave of Hira, the plain of Arafat and Jabal al-Rahmah, Muzdalifah, the tents and jamarat of Mina, Masjid al-Khayf, Jabal Thawr and Masjid Nimrah. You choose how long to spend at each — nobody is on a coach timetable.
Early morning and late afternoon are the best times, both for temperature and for light. The tour starts and ends at your hotel.

Makkah Ziyarat Tour — the details
The things pilgrims ask us most about this particular journey.
About four hours as standard, covering the main sites, at 150 SAR in a Camry or Sonata and 230 SAR in a Staria or Starex. If you want longer at particular places we can extend it — just agree the extra time with your driver.
That is up to you, but the climb to the cave of Hira takes one to two hours each way and is genuinely steep. Most visitors view it from the base. If you want to climb, book the tour as a half-day.
Your driver knows all the sites and will explain them, in English, Arabic or Urdu. He is a knowledgeable driver rather than a licensed academic guide — if you want a formal guide we can arrange one for an additional fee.
